House in Vila Madalena
The project consists of renovating two essential spaces in the residence that are widely used by residents: the kitchen and the terrace. Both to receive friends, and for use by the residents’ own family, these spaces needed attention to offer greater comfort and practicality and thus make the house an even more special place.
Located in the middle of the leafy neighborhood of Vila Madalena, the house offers a privileged view: from the terrace it is possible to see the horizon and a good part of the city of São Paulo.
For the balcony area, it was proposed to cover part of the it with a wooden structure and glass closure so that the family could enjoy the outside space regardless of the climate. The perimeter was designed by a green space and lines of benches made of concrete and wood.
A counter area, cupboard and sink support the mobile barbecue grill.
For the kitchen remodeling, wood was chosen as the predominant material. The slatted panel separates the dining room from the kitchen area, not only creating dividedness in the room, but also an interesting visual game between full and empty, allowing visual permeability.
