NOVA BADEN E ZONA DA MATA – MINAS GERAIS
A common thread for the Atlantic Forest
The work involved research, curatorship, strategic planning for the development of projects and implementation of permanent thematic exhibitions in the Visitor Centers.
Since the initial conception of the expographic project, a multidisciplinary team with professionals in the areas of architecture, design, tourism, biology, museology, journalism, visual communication and engineering carried out on-site research, development of the exposed content, project monitoring and the final inspection at the Visitor Centers.
The Serra do Brigadeiro State Park (PE) is in Zona da Mata region, occupying the northern end of the Serra da Mantiqueira. Its springs supply the hydrographic basins of the Doce and Paraíba do Sul rivers. Also of great water relevance, PE Nova Baden holds important mineral water sources, and it is located in Lambari, as part as Águas Mineiro Circuit.

The building of the visitor center of PE Nova Baden is part of the Historic Heritage Inventory of the municipality of Lambari. It is installed in the headquarters of the farm that belonged to Américo Werneck, in the 19th century.
The expography project combined resources, technology and creativity to produce experiences that involve the visitor and, at the same time, inform about the park and its ecosystems and seek to increase awareness and environmental education.
The exhibition’s script was designed to be displayed on panels, which were grouped together to form compositions. Those compositions will not only have visual identity, but also visual communication, in addition to a diversity of content that is presented in a clear and engaging way to visitors.
